AlyData is proud to sponsor the DG Vision and Stewardship Conference to be held in Washington DC from Dec. 9 to 12, 2019.

DG Vision is the first of our Data Governance conferences to be located in Washington, D.C. As with all of our educational programs, the emphasis will be on peer-to-peer sharing of practical experiences through case studies. This focus will be complemented by the foremost experts adding insights and authority through in-depth tutorials and workshops.

Being in the nation’s capital, the event will include a special focus on the subject matter needs of government agencies, including a dedicated track and specific networking sessions for federal employees to meet face to face.

We know Data Governance and Stewardship are business functions first, so this four-day event will look outward to the broader business world, and not just inward to the IT and data communities. With exciting keynotes, thought-provoking case studies and workshops, and dozens of networking opportunities, attendees will return home with new insights, strategies, and professional connections. Jay Zaidi Delivers a Presentation to Data Practitioners in Australasia

Title: Data Trends and Opportunities for RIM

Abstract:

We live in the “Age of Data” and organizations are experiencing data volume growth of 30% to 50% annually. The application of digitization in just about every aspect of business can be a boon for organizations if they invest in people, process, technology, and data – to acquire, govern, integrate, secure, and analyze data for delivering tangible business value.

The traditional model focuses on the acquisition, classification, and governance of records. In this talk, I shall propose a new model – based on a proprietary “Data Value Pyramid”. This new framework was built with the goal of maturing data management capabilities to deliver superior business results to every organization, regardless of its size or industry.

The “Data Value Pyramid” combines Capability Maturity Model Integration’s (CMMI) Data Maturity Model (DMM) with new analytics and data science capabilities required for generating deep insights from data.

Jay Zaidi to Deliver Keynote at Australasia's International RIM Convention

Keynote Title: RIM 2.0 - From Records to Information to Insights Using the "Data Value Pyramid" Framework

Track: Business Buy-In

Abstract:

We live in the "Age of Data" and organizations are experiencing data volume growth of 30% to 50% annually. The application of digitisation in just about every aspect of business can be a boon for organizations if they invest in people, process, technology, and data - to acquire, govern, integrate, secure, and analyse data for delivering tangible business value.

The traditional RIM 1.0 model focuses on the acquisition, classification, and governance of records. In this talk, I shall propose a new RIM model - RIM 2.0 based on a proprietary "Data Value Pyramid" framework that I've developed. This new framework was built with the goal of maturing RIM capabilities to deliver tangible value to every organisation, regardless of its size or industry.

The "Data Value Pyramid" combines Capability Maturity Model Integration's (CMMI) Data Maturity Model (DMM) with new analytics and data science capabilities required for generating deep insights from data. RIM practitioners that wish to gain business buy-in, must embrace RIM 2.0, acquire new skills, and can use the "Data Value Pyramid" to achieve success.
